Responsible Use

The World Beer Games are about celebrating beer and beer culture through social interaction and responsible consumption.

The WBG are NOT about promoting or endorsing excessive drinking.

In order to enforce and promote the theme of responsible consumption, the following code will be followed at any and all events which are held under the supervision of the World Beer Games Sanctioning Body (WBGSB):

• Participants who appear intoxicated will be disqualified from the World Beer Games competition.
• All games which include consumption of alcohol will be concluded at least one-hour before the completion of the games.
• The majority of events in the competition will not involve the consumption of alcohol.
• No competitor will be permitted to consume more than two beers during the World Beer Games competition.
